Perched on a ridge in North Boulder, this residence looks out across pastures and rolling hills, and the landscape was designed to hold that view without competing with it. A long, linear pool runs parallel to the slope like a reflecting line on the land, crossed by a warm wood deck that ties the pool, spa, and covered terrace into one continuous outdoor room.

The planting brings the prairie right to the edge of the architecture. Drifts of penstemon, coneflower, artemisia, and native grasses soften every edge, drawing pollinators and shifting with the seasons. The result is a landscape that feels both refined and rooted, where evening light, open sky, and the rolling terrain below become part of daily life.
